The song was written near the end of 2007 shortly after hearing about the incident involving sophie and robert. As a big fan of metal music myself I've experienced first hand some peoples intolerances growing up and was completly shocked when I heard about it on the news. I wrote the track as a kind of remembrance song of sophie , and about how much this sad event has brought people together in her memory in a united effort to stop this kind of thing from ever happening again.
The Artist
Evil piccolo is singer/songwriter Richard Carpenter. Based in St helens, Merseyside, he brings a heavy rock/grunge feel to the acoustic guitar. It's this blend of intimacy and roughness that characterises his style and makes him stand out from other acoustic artists.
